Obituary for Betty Bevill

Betty Romaine Bevill, 82, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2017. She was a member of the Chickasaw Tribe and a resident of Southwood Apartments. She was born on March 22, 1935 to Andrew Jackson Fryrear and Pearl Alice Merritt in Minco, Oklahoma.

Betty is survived by her sister, Carol Ann Ward; son, Daniel Allen Bevill and wife Valerie Lynn; grandchildren, Christopher Charles Bevill, Dalton Gale Bevill, BJ Loessburg, Evan Lyle Loessburg, Alex Ryan Loessburg, Angel Dawn Bevill, Austin Hunter Bevill, Brandon Michael Kimmel; daughter in law, Evelyn Sue Bevill and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her life partner, Vernon Johnson; sister, Waunita Jeannine Fryrear; brother, Jackie Lee Fryrear; sons, Donald Ray Bevill and David Andrew Bevill; and 1 infant granddaughter. Betty was also preceded in death by her two lifelong friends, June Wise and Sharon Gardner.

Betty will be greatly missed. She was a servant, doing for others when she was able. She was the president of her apartment association where she had many good friends. She worked for many years, sometimes keeping two jobs at a time. She worked at a pantyhose factory changing out the needles on the machine by day and worked at a lounge at night. She also worked for Bipo, a toy making company.

The family will have a private celebration of Betty’s life in December in lieu of a service. Friends and family are welcome to share stories, memories and condolences on the funeral home website’s tribute wall.
