Obituary for Carl James Belflower, Sr.

Carl James Belflower, 89, of Midwest City, passed away January 5, 2018 to join his Lord Savior, and his wife of 61 years, Charline Nell Belflower.

Carl was a self-made man, often caught whistling, fishing, and smiling with a story not far behind. He created and owned Nicoma Park Sheet Metal, which became a family business.

Carl and Charline had four sons, Carl James Belflower, Philip Lee Belflower, Rodney Dean Belflower, and Steve Wesley Belflower; and one daughter, Tracy Lynn (Belflower) Vasquez; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

His family will miss his stories and watching old westerns with him while drinking Folger’s coffee, often with a slice of lemon cake or doughnut nearby.

Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday, 8AM-8PM, with formal visitation Tuesday from 6-8PM.

Funeral services will be 2PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens.
