Obituary for Carolyn LaGrone

Carolyn Sue LaGrone, also known as Carrie and NeNe, 51, left her home to be with her Lord and Savior on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Carrie was born on July 26, 1965 in St Paul, MN to Robert James and Minnie Lola Edwards.

Carrie was a member of Wickline United Methodist Church, and an avid believer that kids are important and ran a home daycare, and was a foster parent. Carrie would act as a surrogate parent to any military member that wanted one. She was active in PTA/PTO, a substitute teacher, and interacted with children where she lived.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents.

Carrie is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) LaGrone, of the home; children, Chantal Morris of Oklahoma City, Carmon Jennings of Newalla, Dustin Jacobs currently stationed in England and Jeffery Jacobs of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Joyce Harding of Sierra Vista, AZ, Judy Lary of Brownfield, TX, Melba Smith of Brownfield, TX, Karen Gibson of Oklahoma City, OK, Ruthie Jones of Stillwater, OK, Pamala Norris of Shreveport, LA, Samantha Prosser of Moultrie, GA; brothers, Brian Edwards of Wyoming, MN, Ray Battles of Doerun, GA, Todd Edwards of Waconia, MN, Troy Edwards of Bostin, MA; grandchildren, Liam and Charlene Morris, Lillian, Charles, and Alexander Jacobs; many cousins, nieces and nephews; a host of friends.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, May 19, 2017 at Wickline United Methodist Church on Oklahoma City, OK.
