Obituary for David Alan Carter

David Alan Carter, 60, of Choctaw, OK passed away on April 30,2018.

David was born on May 2, 1957 in Norman, OK, to Charles Edward and Alma Rose Carter.

After high school, David spent many years working in the oil fields and later worked for OG&E, retiring in 2008. In his retirement, David spent his time hunting and fishing with his brother and helping his family and friends whenever they needed him. He was an avid golf cart driver. He frequently made the rounds on his golf cart visiting his lake family and keeping everyone connected. David’s smile and laughter were contagious, and he made everyone around him feel loved.

David was preceded in death by his daughter, Sissy Annette, his father, Charles, his brother, Mike, and his beloved dog, Minnie.

David is survived by his wife, Vickie Carter, his daughter and her husband, Chelsea and Christopher Croslin of McCloud, OK, his mother, Alma Rose, his sister and her husband, Jeanne and Bill Jeffers of Tulsa, OK, two brothers, Dan Carter of Tennessee, and John Carter and his wife Lisa Brooks of Roland, OK, and many nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City, OK.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Harmony Christian Church in Choctaw, OK.
