Obituary for Donald Max Williams

Donald Max Williams went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 85.

Max was born January 18, 1932 in Tribbey, OK to Alvin and Maye Williams. He graduated from Tribbey High School in 1950 and from there went on to Murray State College in Tishomingo, OK. He graduated from Murray State in 1952 with an Associate in Science.

Max met Mary Cottrell from Wanette, OK and they were married January 3, 1953 and spent 64 happy years together. They were blessed with five children: Vicki, who lives in Watonga, OK, Don and his wife Rose from Colorado Springs, CO, Patti and her husband Randy Cramer from McLoud, OK, Steve who lives in Cedar Creek, TX and Amy who passed away very young. Max had three brothers, Hilmer, Walter and Derl; two sisters, Dorothy and Noma. Derl and Dorothy are still living.

Max retired from the United States Postal Service as a Special Delivery Messenger in 1996. He has three granddaughters, Mallory and her husband Jedediah Marler of Choctaw, Kirsten and her husband Caleb Wiegert of Harrah and Bayleigh Cramer of McLoud; two grandsons, Louis Williams and wife Lori and Michael Williams; one great grandson Zachariah Marler; three great granddaughters, Kinley Marler, Gabriella and Natalie Wiegert; two step-great granddaughters, Kirsten and Madison and many nieces and nephews.

Max had attended the Church of Christ in Nicoma Park since 1964 and had a little workshop where he enjoyed wood working. He also liked to play chess and checkers. Max played basketball and baseball while in school and also liked to fish.

Viewing will take place Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 8AM to 8PM at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City, OK.

Funeral Services will be 10AM, Monday, December 11, 2017 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, OK.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The American Heart Association.
