Obituary for Edna F. Long

Edna Fay Long, 72, a longtime resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 2nd, 2018.

She was born on April 15, 1945 in Cement Oklahoma to Hilburn (“Bud”) and Georgia Franks. She grew up and graduated in Chickasha, Oklahoma and then later moved to the Midwest City area.

She was a very generous person that would give to anyone in need. She enjoyed dancing, watching old westerns, and antique shopping. She loved visits from her Grandchildren, entertaining and making people laugh, but most of all she loved spending time with “her handsome” whether they were taking road trips, going to the casino, or just being together.

At the age of 69 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and was cared for in her home by her loving husband until she became physically unable to remain there.

Despite her illness, she maintained her sense of humor and her orneriness. She also during this time, loved reciting the Lord’s Prayer, and listening to and singing gospel hymns.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her three siblings and grandson Justin Scott.
