Obituary for Elizabeth Hayes Flynt

Elizabeth Hayes Flynt died Monday, December 4, 2017 while a resident of the Arbor House Assisted Living Center in Midwest City, OK at the age of 90.

She was born February 19, 1927 in Albany, GA to Dewey and Vernie White Hayes.

For many years "Betty" worked as a ceramics instructor at the Tinker Air Force Base Hobby Shop where her husband Sammy was stationed. She enjoyed painting ceramics, collecting Beanie Babies and working crossword puzzles. For many years, one of Betty's greatest joys was daily visits to The Health Patch Herb Store where she spent countless hours visiting staff and customers and helping to "stuff bags". She was a long-time member of the Eastern Star and a member of Crest Baptist Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Rae and a brother, Alex Dwayne.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa B. Bush and Linda S. Norman of Florida; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Viewing will take place Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City, OK.

A Graveside Service will take place at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK. Interment will follow.
