Obituary for Harley John Dahl

Harley John Dahl died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 90.

Harley was born September 3, 1926 to Henry John and Edith (Behrens) Dahl in Chickasha, OK.

He served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946 and was a World War II Veteran. He also served in the Pacific, Philippines (Layta Island) and Tokyo, Japan. In Tokyo he was a parts clerk and supervised several workers.

Harley liked fishing and went every weekend in his younger years. He loved riding motorcycles and had an Indian motorcycle and a Harley Davidson in his youth. Motorcycles were his only mode of travel for many years. He enjoyed going to car races, watching them on television, war movies and westerns. He raised cattle, kept gardens and raised children for several years.

He is survived by his children, Judy Penner, Michael Dahl, Debbie Corter, Kathie Wyatt, Sharon Lewis and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Harley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda Dahl, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, April 10, 2017 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City, OK. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery in Midwest City, OK.
