Obituary for Jerry Wayne Gamble

Jerry W. Gamble, 68, of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed away March 10, 2017 due to complications following heart surgery. He is survived by his wife, Jenny; son, Matt; daughter, Robin and son-in-law, Josh Benefield; grandchildren, Austin, Campbell and Harper Benefield; siblings, Virginia Lee Meek (Leroy), Ray Fullbright (Pat), Al Gamble (Alice), Robert Gamble; brother-in-law, Max Luper (Betty); several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Elizabeth Craine Gamble and his first wife Gwen (Luper). Jerry was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma and graduated from US Grant High School in Oklahoma City and attended Rose State College. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 33 years of service. He served our country in the Army (Vietnam) 1968-1969. Jerry was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. A celebration of life is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Wickline United Methodist Church, 417 Mid-America Blvd., Midwest City, Oklahoma. Cremation, no viewing, in honor of his wishes. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Stroke Association for stroke research.
