Obituary for Jim L. Isaac

Jim L. Isaac, of MWC, passed away at home on May 26, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 26, 1936 in Cordell, OK to Alvin and Beatrice Isaac. Jim married Rebecca Pearson in 1970 and from their union they had two sons, Patrick and Todd. He attended & graduated from Midwest City High School and was a proud MWC Bomber. He received both his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from Central State University. Jim was a coach, educator and administrator for Mid- Del Schools for over 30 years. In 1976, he started his home building and land development business which continued until 2009. He was also a state representative for 2 terms and an adjunct professor at Rose State College and Oklahoma City University. Jim was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Midwest City where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School. He enjoyed watching OKC Thunder Basketball and OU sports, spending time at the lake with his family and especially adored time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; sons, Patrick Isaac, Todd Isaac and wife, Peggy; 3 grandchildren, Dillon, Payton, & Hudson; brother & sister-in-law, Bill & Ragena Pearson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and aides at Sienna Nursing Care and Valir Hospice for the kindness and care they have received. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mid-Del Schools Foundation or Choctaw Schools Foundation. A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, June 4, 2018 at First Christian Church of Midwest City.
