Obituary for Lynn J. Fry, Sr.

Lynn Fry broke free from the shackles of this world to go live victoriously with our Lord God Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 22, 2018. He temporarily leaves behind his beautiful bride of 67 years, Helen “Ludy” Fry and a loving son and daughter, Jack Fry and his wife Gail, of Midwest City and Linda Jenicek and husband Keith, of Midwest City. Lynn was also blessed with 4 adoring grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 wonderful great great- grandchildren; all of whom he took great delight in and doted on. He also leaves behind many wonderful sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, colleagues and friends.

Lynn was born on April 17, 1930 to Roy and Cora Fry in Hazel, Oklahoma. He had a loving childhood with four fun-loving siblings, one sister and three brothers. Lynn proudly and honorably defended his country by serving in the U.S. Army for 42 years. He courageously fought in the Korean War and missed the birth of his firstborn while in combat. He always greatly looked forward to and enjoyed attending his military reunions and loved keeping in touch with his war buddies. He was a true American Patriot!

Lynn worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a civilian for 28 years. After his retirement, Lynn and Ludy worked together for 10 years driving a school bus for special needs children in the Mid-Del School system. Lynn also served his community as an elected City Council member for the City of Midwest City for 8 years and as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Oklahoma County. Lynn did many wonderful things for many people too numerous to mention. He took great pride in taking care of and protecting his family, whom he adored and loved without exception.

He was a true friend and his word was his honor. Lynn will be sorely missed by us all. Lynn made a difference in this world—a very positive difference. He made it a better place to live in. He was our hero. Thank you Lynn. We love you so much. Thank you Lord, for giving us Lynn. He has made it Home. Glory be unto God. Amen.
