Obituary for MSgt Bradley J. Youngquist

MSgt Bradley James Youngquist, 39, of Norman, Oklahoma, died in a motorcycle accident on November 15, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on April 12, 1978, to Marlin Calmar Youngquist and Joyce Elaine Boydston Youngquist in York, Nebraska.

Bradley graduated from Goodland High School in Goodland, Kansas, and joined the United States Air Force in July of 1996. He married Rachel Dawn Robison on February 3, 2001, in Altus, Oklahoma, and they have two sons, Michael Andrew Robison and Justin Thomas Youngquist. He worked as a logistician and Asset Management Section Chief of the 552 MOS at Tinker Air Force Base. During his service in the United States Air Force, Brad was deployed to many locations throughout the world and earned numerous awards and medals, including the Air Force Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and the Korea Defense Service Medal.

He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved working on his car and motorcycle and with wood crafts and carpentry work. He loved playing fun board games with family and friends and laughing a lot. He was an active member of NorthHaven Church of Norman where he ran the sound booth for worship services and washed dishes every Wednesday night after church dinner.

Brad is survived by his wife, Rachel Youngquist, and his sons, Michael Robison and Justin Youngquist of Norman, Oklahoma, by his brothers Ryan Youngquist and wife Amanda, Michael Youngquist, Blaine Kahle and wife Tammy, Bryce Kahle, Neil Kahle and sisters Amanda Harrison and husband Scott, Michelle Youngquist, Holly Youngquist, Erika Bingham and husband Josh, by his father, Marlin Youngquist, and stepmother, Cheryl Youngquist, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Elaine Youngquist, and his grandparents Calmar and Dorothy Youngquist and James Frank and Faye Boydston.

Flowers and Condolences can be sent to Barnes and Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., Midwest City, OK 73130. Funeral services will be Monday, November 20, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at NorthHaven Church, 4600 36th Avenue NW, Norman, Oklahoma 73072, with the Dr. R. Mitch Randall officiating. Memorials or donations may be made to the Youngquist’s College Fund for their boys.
