Obituary for Maxine Nadean Adair Kaup

Maxine Nadean Adair Kaup went to her eternal home with her Savior on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the age of 98.

She was born in Ft. Gibson, OK on December 3, 1918 to Mack and Clara (Buschjost) Adair. She was the youngest of 4 children. Her mother died 3 weeks later during the flu epidemic. She and her siblings were raised in Ft. Gibson, OK by their grandparents.

Maxine graduated High School in Ft. Gibson as the valedictorian of her class. She then went to business school in Chillicothe, MO.

Maxine married Winton Kaup in December of 1940. They moved several times during those war years while Winton served at several stateside Posts and in the European Theater of WWII. After the war they lived in Tulsa, Bristow, Wewoka, Duncan, Oklahoma City and retired in Crowder, OK.

Maxine worked in Duncan, OK for several years for Pace Insurance and then in Oklahoma City where she retired from American Fidelity Insurance in the 1970's. She and Winton retired to Crowder, OK where they lived for 13 years before Winton died in 1991.

Maxine has lived in Midwest City, OK since that time most recently residing at Blue Ridge Senior Living Facility where she was lovingly cared for by so many staff members as well as those from Humanity Hospice.

She was an active member of Wickline Methodist Church where she made many friends. Maxine loved to volunteer during her retirement years. She served at Midwest Regional Hospital and Oklahoma Blood Institute as well as her church. She always enjoyed the fellowship of her many friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Winton; three siblings, Lester Adair, Earl Adair and Lois Moody; her son, Bob Kaup and one grandson, Robbie Ogle.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Ogle and Barbara Brewer; four grandchildren, Terry Ogle of Kingfisher, OK, Cindy Reinhardt of Yukon, OK, Scott Brewer and Kristin of Midwest City, OK and Lance Brewer and Missy of Fayetteville, AR; great- grandchildren, Aryn Kate Garcia, Preston Ogle, Devin Reinhardt, Conner Reinhardt, Austin Brewer, Kelsey Brewer, Caynen Brewer and Jordan Brewer; great- great- grandchild, Caroline Garcia and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, August 4, 2017 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City, OK.
