Obituary for Ronald "Ron" J. Tugend

Tugend, Ronald John, Jr., 45, of McLoud, OK died on January 14, 2018. He was born September 5, 1972 in Scranton, PA to Ronald Sr. and Shirley.

He graduated North Pocono High School in Moscow, PA in 1990 and then served four years with the United States Army 101st Airborne Division. He spent most of his working career in the trucking industry and most recently was Outbound Supervisor at ABF Freight in Oklahoma City.

He was an avid hunter, angler and billards player, but most notably a loving and devoted husband and father. He was the life of the party, with a smile and laugh so contagious it could light up an entire room; yet, it was his big heart and his love of family that will be remembered most.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Tugend, of Moscow, PA; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Mable Cavill, both of Moscow, PA; and paternal grandmother, Clara Tugend, of Scranton, PA. Ron is survived by his wife of 14 years, Terra; two daughters, Kayla and Karolyna; and two sons, (Ronald) Jeremy and Micah Denton, all of McLoud, OK; father, Ronald Sr. (Vicki) of Blackshear, GA; two brothers, Raymond (Catherine) of Depew, NY and Robert (Joanna) of Tatamy, PA; one sister, Kimberly Bonvechio (Timothy) of Blackshear, GA; two grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City, OK.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
