Obituary for Sandra Kay Jackson

Sandra Kay Sanderson Jackson was gifted to us on February 7, 1973 in Wellington, TX. She was welcomed to her heavenly home on June 21, 2017 by her babies Morgan, Hannah, Anna, and Matthew along with beloved family gone before her.

Sandra was a beautiful and joyous soul. As one friend said, meeting her for the first time felt more like reuniting with an old friend. She was compassionate and dedicated, which made her a perfect fit for her profession as a funeral director. She was passionate about taking care of her families, comforting them and loving them through their loss.

Sandra was known for her quick wit and sense of humor almost as much as her punctuality (or lack thereof). You were always at the mercy of what her family lovingly called "Sandra Time". She loved to jam in her car, especially with kids. Loudly with lots of sass and with no shame! Sandra ran on sweet tea and McDonald's mocha frappe's (hold the whip cream). At times she could be found trekking through the metro area on a pie crawl, in search of the best buttermilk pie, of course. She never turned down pie, of any kind! Sandra seldom did anything "just for her", but she never missed an opportunity to go see "The Phantom of the Opera" with her sister, Misty. Sandra adored her sister Laci and loved every moment spent with her and her 2 beautiful nieces and nephew. Sandra was also a fan of Laci's baking skills and wouldn't hesitate to find a new recipe, buy the ingredients and tell Laci she was going to need to make it for her.

Sandra had many titles: wife, daughter, sister, mother, loving friend and peace-maker. Hands down, her favorite title was "Mother". Sandra was born to be a mother and she was a great one! Anything DJ and Grace wanted, they got! She lived and breathed for her babies.

Those waiting to reunite with her include her husband, Will Jackson and her children David of Midwest City and Destiny of Seguin, TX; mother Shirley Bailey and husband Phil of Altus; daddy Gawain Sanderson of Hollis, sisters Misty and husband Mark of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; Rachel Madl and husband Patrick of Altus, Laci Reeves and fiance Chris White of Frederick, Julie Waldroop and husband Brian of Altus, and sisters of the heart Autumn Street and Heather Squires; and Kenneth Jackson father-in-law of Earle, Arkansas. Sandra's beloved nieces and nephews Mandy, Brandon, Kade, Liam, Kimber, and Kaytelynn will miss the magic of their Ana.

A celebration of life will be held for Sandra on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Followed by a small reception with sweet tea and pie. The celebration will be held in the Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 to 8:00 and Sunday from 8:00 to 8:00.
