Obituary for Sharon Rose Williams Smith

Sharon Rose Williams Smith went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 6, 2017 peacefully at her home after a lengthy battle with illness. She was born October 25, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Felix and Evelyn Williams. Sharon attended Crooked Oak Elementary and graduated from Del City High School. Sharon met the love of her life, Jerry Smith, while working together at a parking garage in downtown Oklahoma City. They were married on August 17, 1960 and for the next 56 years built their lives around her love of family and her faith. Sharon is survived by her husband Jerry Smith of Oklahoma City; her son Danny Smith of Oklahoma City and his wife Marie and their son Jax of El Dorado, Kansas; her sister Edna Nitzel and her husband LeRoy of Oklahoma City along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Evelyn Williams, her brother Danny Williams, sister Mary Turner and grandson Ty Austin Smith. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church, 11301 SE 104th St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73165 with Rev. Dewayne Klepper officiating. Internment will follow at Elmore City Cemetery.
