Obituary for Virginia Lee Koelsch

Virginia Lee (Peters) Storie Koelsch died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the age of 83.

Virginia was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Eulan E. Peters and Eva Lee (Jones) Peters. Her step-father, Danny Ford was also very supportive in Virginia’s life and very special to her.

Virginia’s first marriage was to Jack Storie who is now deceased. In 1985 Virginia married Paul Koelsch. Virginia and Paul enjoyed 32 years together until she passed away after a brief illness. The two moved to Forsythe, MO for several years enjoying the Branson area attractions. They then moved back to Oklahoma to be close to family.

Virginia’s interest included creating beautiful pottery, collecting antiques, sewing and cooking. She enjoyed the outdoors and recently learned to shoot a pistol and obtained her concealed carry permit which she was very proud of.

Virginia’s family gave her the nick-name of “Energizer Bunny” as she was so active from dawn to dark and rarely sat down. She took great pride and joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Virginia worked for Star Manufacturing for several years and then went to work at the Federal Aviation Administration which she retired from in 1994.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Paul Koelsch; sons, Robert Lee Storie and wife Sandra, and Richard Wayne Storie; daughter, Deborah Anne Storie Eastep and husband Rick; grandchildren, Greg Storie and wife Michelle, David Storie and wife Carrie, Jack Storie and wife Teresa, Joseph Storie and wife Amanda, Stefanie Storie and husband Josh, Chad Storie and wife Elizabeth, Harley Storie and wife Lacy, and Lee Anne Cooksey and husband Brent; brother, Eulan (Pete) Peters Jr.; nephews, Kenneth Peters and Steve Peters and numerous great grandchildren.
