Obituary for Jimmy Allen Stephens, Sr.

Jimmy Allen Stephens Sr. was born in Comanche, OK on September 21, 1941 to parents, Jeptha Iva and Beverly Maxine Stephens. Jim went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
Jim graduated from Midwest City High School in 1959 and then ran away to marry the love of his life, Ovana Sue Davis, on September 10, 1960 in DeQueen, Arkansas. Jim and Sue had three children and lived a wonderful life full of family, friends and service. Jim and Sue were very active at Ridgecrest Church of Christ with Jim serving as Deacon, Youth Minister and Elder at different times during his life. Jim was an electrician by trade and was Electrical Foreman on several large projects including Heritage Park Mall, Crossroads Mall, Quail Springs Mall, One Bell Central in Oklahoma City and many other houses and businesses throughout Oklahoma. In 1984, Jim became Physical Plant Manager for Oklahoma Christian University and worked there for 23 years. Jim had a servant heart and was always available to help anyone in need. He was loved by many and leaves a huge hole in our hearts.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue; one sibling and beloved grandson, Brandon Keith Stephens. He is survived by son, Jimmy Allen Stephens, Jr. and wife, Julia; son, Michael Keith Stephens and wife, Amy; and daughter, Melody Gaye Peacock and husband, Millard; grandsons, Lance Stephens, Christopher Stephens, Sean Stephens and Matthew Peacock; granddaughters, April Fish, Misty Durham, Auralie Holman and Megan Peacock; great granddaughter, Serenity Holman; and great grandsons Cooper Stephens, Cameron Durham, Tyson Durham, Brayden Stephens, Asher Fish, Lincoln Durham, Kennedy Durham and Paxton Fish; siblings, Richard Powell, Iva Joe Stephens and Jani Beth Aultman.
Services will be held at Ridgecrest Church of Christ in Midwest City on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, OK at 3:00.
