Obituary for Kannon Bradley Foster

Kannon Bradley Foster, age 8, was literally one in a billion (almost two billion, to be exact). Kannon was born with Tetrasomy i(5p) Mosaicism, a chromosomal abnormality. He was only the fourth reported clinical case in the world. Kannon was born to Zach and Kelli (Hoskins) Foster April 1, 2010, in Oklahoma City. He lost his battle on the morning of Oct 7, 2018, at the Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Kannon will be remembered as a sweet but strong soul, a loving big brother and a beloved son, grandson, and nephew. Kannon attended the special education program at Choctaw Elementary School and therapies at J.D. McCarty Center and Sensational Kids. He is survived by his parents, Zach and Kelli; his younger brother, Konner; younger sister, Abigale; his service dog, Hoss; his maternal grandfather, Tom Hoskins; paternal grandparents, Ron and Le Foster; his aunts and uncles, Brandon and Kendra Swearingen, Kristin and Ryan Davidson, Chris Foster and Allison Hale as well as numerous cousins, friends and other family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jan (Dimick) Hoskins. A viewing will be held from 12 PM to 8 PM. Thursday, Oct.11 from 8 AM until 8 PM Friday, Oct. 12 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home 1820 S. Douglas Blvd. in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, Oct. 13 at Life Church, located at 6809 E. Reno in Midwest City, with a graveside service at Arlington Memory Gardens at 3400 N. Midwest Blvd. in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family provided the option to donate to the Kannon Foster Fund at Tinker Federal Credit Union. Kannon’s family would like to thank their large “Team Kannonball” support system for their endless love and prayers. They would also like to thank Kannon’s team of doctors, therapists, nurses, teachers, and aides for giving Kannon the quality of life they knew he deserved. Others they would like to thank include the Midwest City Fire Department, Midwest City Police Department, and Life Church in Midwest City for letting Kannon be a special part of their families.
