Her two sons, daughter-in-law, grandson and granddaughter all graduated from Midwest City Schools.
She was active in her church, Wickline United Methodist Church in Midwest City and belonged to NOAH (Not Old At Heart) an organization for members 50 years and older. She made peanut brittle for every benefit for the church fundraisers. She was a member of HCE Group 31’Es for over 20 years and was the Treasurer many times. The group made Christmas Stockings and filled them for the Veterans each Christmas. She crocheted and knitted many hats for the Children’s Hospital and the HUGS project. She delivered meals on wheels and received an award from the Literacy Link for all her volunteer hours and was a member on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Del Food Pantry for many years.
Laura was a great volunteer for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and spent many hours working in the St. Jude Dream Homes. She was a 55 year member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International (ESA) and held all the offices in her chapter, Delta Chi. She was currently serving as Vice President if Delta Chi.
Laura made friends with everyone she met and was always helping to make their lives easier. She had many friends across the State of Oklahoma thru ESA and this past year was the first time she ever missed and ESA State Convention.
