Obituary for Fred John Traue

Fred John Traue died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the age of 62. He was a husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Fred was born October 18, 1955 in Oklahoma City. He lived much of his childhood and teen years in Midwest City graduating from Carl Albert High School where he met his future wife, Rhonda. After graduation he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Alexandria, Louisiana. He traveled back to Oklahoma often to woo Rhonda convincing her to marry him and they moved to Louisiana where they began their married life.

They later moved back to Oklahoma after being transferred to Tinker AFB where he finished his military career and began his civilian career. He retired in 2010 as a Pneudraulic Test Mechanic after 37 years of dedicated government service.

On November 21st of this year Fred and Rhonda celebrated 42 years of marriage. Throughout his life he would share with his children, "marrying your mom was the best decision I ever made".

He began his relationship with the Lord in 1983 and began doing Christian clown ministry as Gadget (Go And Deliver God's Eternal Truth). Fred and his family have been active members at First Baptist Church of Midwest City for many years.

Fred was a unique individual who always walked to the beat of his own drum. He had hobbies of all kinds during his life; from cars, motorcycles, model planes and trains to music, clowning, balloon art and even stilt walking. Later in life his hobbies were the two G's; Guns and Guitars.

In 2015, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and battled this horrific disease for 2 1/2 years.

Fred was preceded in death by his father, Christian Fred Traue; mother, Lila Catherine Palmer; and sister, Karen Golda Ferrier.
