Obituary for Guy Dennis Walton, Jr.

Guy Dennis “Denny” Walton Jr., 74, of Oklahoma City, died February 14, 2018 at home surrounded by family. He was born January 15, 1944 in Lawrence, Kansas to Guy Walton Sr. and Opal Marshall.

Denny was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Marshall; stepfather, Herbert Carl Marshall; father, Guy Walton Sr.; and sister, Vickie Walton Chatburn.

He is survived by his daughter, Darla Buhlig and husband Sean; grandsons, Kelley Buhlig, Aaron Buhlig; sisters, Patty Moorehead, Teresa Marshall, Vickie Scott and husband Windell; brother, Greg Walton; and stepmother, Gladys Walton.

Denny grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and graduated from Lawrence High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received a purple heart for his service. He enjoyed speed skating and was an avid roller skater so much so, that he taught his sisters to skate before they could even walk. Denny enjoyed bowling, skating and camping. He was a huge staple at Pines Greenhouse for the last 20 years. He had a passion for gardening, making things grow and sharing his knowledge with others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at 2PM, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the family home located at 8901 Ryan Rhodes Drive, OKC, OK.
