Obituary for Betty Lou Goslin

Betty Lou Goslin, 94, passed away May 27, 2018. Betty was born in Columbia, MO, October 12, 1923, to Walter Scott Taylor and Holden Norene (Mcbride) Taylor..

Betty received her Master’s Degree in education and was a teacher for 19 years at Del City High School and after retirement, she began tutoring at Rose State College. Betty was a member of many different organizations including the Kappa Delta Pi where she was the Vice-President. Betty's hobbies included sewing, cooking, swimming, planting flowers and bouquets but did not like to weed them. Betty loved to travel and see the world. There was nothing more that she enjoyed than watching her grandchildren play their sports. Betty was a Sunday school teacher at Country Estates Church and later on in life became a Sunday School Teacher at Choctaw Road Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her two daughters; Lynn Mccleave and husband Loren, and Mary Cheek and husband David; 4 Grandchildren; Scott Mccleave and wife Terri; Lori Poole and husband Curt; David Cheek; Doug Cheek and wife Megan; and 13 great grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Robert Lawrence Goslin of 55 years, two daughters; Betty Gale Goslin and Vicki Hill, two grandsons; Bobby Morrow and Jared Mccleave, and granddaughter, Mandy Cheek.

Family visitation will be Wednesday, May 30th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 31st at 4:00pm at Choctaw Road Baptist Church.
